Hi!! Ok...I must admit that this is not truly a "Try Something New" for me. I made this card last year for a card swap. The challenge was cuts and folds. I chose to use a little origami in my card. With that, I chose to feature it today because origami is not always featured in card designs. Different kinds of folds are used, but the true origami style is often overlooked as a card element.
My challenge is to find a true origami design and use it as a card element. I chose this adorable catamaran. I don't own a boat stamp, so using a origami catamaran seemed doable. I found this wonderful website that has so many different origami shapes. You can find it HERE (scroll down the page to find the catamaran). Just size down the designer paper of your choice to the size you want to use on your card.
It really creates a different look to your cards. It makes it more 3D and fun.
Thanks for stopping by!!
