Welcome to my weekly TSN (Try Something New) post. Each week I try to travel outside my comfort zone and try something I have never done before, or something I haven't attempted in a really long time. And I would love for you to join me!!
Today I have two TSNs. The first is a sketch (# 124) from the Mojo Monday Blog. The second is embossing. I don't usually attempt embossing because I find it messing and sometimes time consuming. As a mother of four, I only have a tiny bit of time to play with my papercrafting supplies. Sooooo, I don't like embossing. But, today I wanted to do it anyway. It's good to have change, right?
In this card I embossed the image in white to pop it a little from the green background. First I stamped the image with white craft ink. Then, while it is wet, I sprinkled white embossing powder over the image. I then used a heat gun to melt the powder.
I also embossed the chipboard letters at the bottom of the card. I embossed the same way I did the image. The only difference is that it took about three coats of ink and powder to create a smooth surface on the letters.
So, just a quick and simple TSN today. Thanks for stopping by today! See you again soon!!
