Well, taking a break from blogging for one week turned into almost 3 months!!! That was surely not my intension. But the spring and summer months began and I found myself engulfed in fun family activities. School was out, the sun was shining, the garden was calling, the mountains were also calling...I just had to take a little break and enjoy this time with my family without distraction. Oh sure I wanted to step into my stampin' room every day, but my days were just too full of great summer fun that I just didn't. I felt that was perfectly fin. I was making memories with my family.
But I didn't completely stop crafting. I sewed, did some woodwork, and shared some crafting with my children. It satisfied me a great deal.
Today I thought I would pop on and let you know that I will be making a slow return to my blog. I will eventually continue my TSNs (Try Something New post) but I think I will change it up a bit. Instead of posting on Thursday like I used to I am going to post it on Mondays. I am also changing the name to Show-n-tell Monday. I will show and project or card and then tell about it with a picture tutorial. It may start off irregularly at first, but I hope to be regular about it in a month or so. I also want to add other regular posts such as Download of the Week, and Festive Fridays. But that will have to be decided and confirmed later.
Today I also thought I should leave you with a little gift idea that I made for my husband while my blog was silent. I can't just pop on here without leaving some fun idea.
We call it a Joy Jar. Here is what I did to make it:
1) Fill a canning jar with Almond Joys and little strips of joyful sayings or little notes that will bring joy to your recipients heart.
2) Decorate the outside of the jar.
3) Give the Joy Jar to a friend or family member who can use a little pick-me-up. Tell them to keep the jar in a convenient place and return to it whenever they need a little joy in their life. They can either reach for some chocolate Almond Joy or a little note hand written by you to cheer them up...or how about both!
It's a little gift, but it can make a lasting impression.
